OMG, can't believe you never got over that. Quite frankly I had already forgotten the whole incident. But I again sincerely apologize for it.

I mean - the mediums for inter-personal communications are nowadays so vast and easily available that I am very sorry - but failure to activate account due to invalid Email address is just a lime, pathetic excuse which might have been accepted during the Cold War - but not today. |

The point I was trying to make, is that that email verification is the only means *I* will be accepting, and I don't care much about what anyone thinks about it.

So, this would be the post he was supposed to have edited after I announced that I removed the avatar, right? http://svg.xs4all.nl/we/thread.php?board...did=91&page=1#4

(slightly less than six hours).
First post by me stating I was the one to remove the avatar (something that seemed obvious to me at the time, since I am the only one who actually can) was the next day. I still don't see how he could have done what you claim he has. But hey, I don't intend to defend moton anymore. I am sort of glad he has left the WE forum... I have had quite enough of him.
Cheers all, take care.

I noted this remark a little late, but nevertheless, here is my response. It indeed does not matter whether or not I remember it. But the forum should... moton has never been capable of editing posts without automatic time stamps. Only forum administrators can do that. So if he did any editing of his own posts - it should be visible when he edited. I did some thorough searching through the forum, but I can't find a post that could have contained the statement you refer to. If you have a clue which one it could have been, please direct me to it.

LOL, why does this sound so familiar? Maybe you can be named? In any case, your privacy is primarily your own responsibility. And on the internet there exists very little of it. Any information or interaction on the internet is - in essence - public domain. If only because there is no practical way of reliably protecting internet interaction.

I have to disappoint now MadPole... the higher order is on the left.
Usually an internet provider owns several ranges of IP addresses. For instance, the entire range ***.**.*.* is owned by my own ISP xs4all (a range of ***** addresses).

Is this mine? What does it mean? |

It probably is, and here is what it means: an IP address, is sort of like a post address for computers connected to the internet. It tells internet routers where to send packages of information.
The agent line is information about your browser. This information is normally available to the web server you are requesting web pages from. (Or any kind of information. Think about images in posts for instance, those are on other servers and log the same information.) Mozilla/4.0 is a standard for html, MSIE 6.0 is the version of your browser, internet explorer. You are running windows 2000, 'T312461; .NET CLR 1.0.3705' specifies your last windows update version and you have the .NET framework installed (you probably have msn too ).
